FabFitFun Fall Box Review

My fist subscription box — ever– arrived in October. The FabFitFun Fall box. I squealed with delight as soon as I saw the pretty pastel pink design in my postal box.

I took it home and made my first unboxing video as I opened it and took out all the items one by one out of the box. There was so much stuff! At $70CAD a box, (every three months, approx.) I was ready to be impressed.

It’s been three months since receiving the Fall box, so here’s what’s worked and what hasn’t so far:

Deco Miami Cuticle Oil

I have to be honest here and say that I’ve never used cuticle oil before I got it in this box. But I’ve become a believer and use this one all the time — especially during the winter. I find my cuticles look really nice and moisturized. This definitely became one of my fave items in the box.

Whish Renewing Mud Mask

I typically use the Origins charcoal mask but thought I’d give this a whirl, since it came in my box anyway! If you’re used to charcoal masks like I am, this one is not as thick. It feels light on and therefore dries on your face much quicker than the charcoal one does. It left my skin feeling smooth and refreshed but I have to be honest and say my skin didn’t feel “deeply” cleansed as it does with the charcoal mask. I’ll be rotating between this one for its anti-aging benefits and the charcoal mask for the deep clean effect.

dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse

I’m not too sure what to think of this one. I mean, it’s great for removing product build-up in your hair, but it really, really smells like vinegar. I’ve only used it once and tbh, I didn’t really notice much of a difference than when using a really good shampoo. I’ll have to use it again just to be sure, so I will be updating this section for sure!

Coxet Wire Ceramic Jewelry Holder design by imm Living

So, I am not a big fan of jewellery — what!  Having said that, I do love long, dangly earrings — especially in the summer. Because of this, I haven’t been able to use this item other than to have it sitting on my nightstand looking pretty. I will be updating this section also (in the summer) when I bring out my pretty ear pieces!

MerSea Cozy Wrap

Love LOVE love this wrap. I use it alot, and I’m not a big fan of scarves or shawls either. But this winter has been especially cold and I am so thankful I have this warm, beautiful shawl! It also looks really pretty draped over the chaise in my bedroom (FFF actually recommends you use it as a bed runner in addition to using it as a shawl)!

Private Party Gym Bag

#Fail. The gym bag wasn’t that big, nor was it sturdy enough to carry all of your gym stuff. The zipper is also pretty flimsy. Pass.

Belt

I’m a bit picky when it comes to my belts, so I thought I would never actually wear this. The poncho that came in the Winter box needed one like this, however, so I’ve been wearing these two pieces together quite often! (Other subscribers may have received a beanie instead of the belt.)

Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths

This was an awkward item. I mean, they’re obviously useful, but I’m not sure it really belonged in the box. It was a freebie (as in, it didn’t count towards the total value of the box) but #tryagain, me thinks!

My TagAlongs Hot & Cold Gel Pack

I wanted to love this item — but I put it in the microwave for too long and it blew up! So sad.

trèStiQue Matte Color & Shiny Balm Lip Crayon

OMG this lip pencil is amazing and the colour, Tuscan wine, is divine. I am obsessed with it and wear it quite often — both the lip balm AND lipstick together, or sometimes just the balm and sometimes just the lipstick. I wore both in my latest unboxing video for the FabFitFun Winter box — which you can check out below!!
